ADAS Calibration

ADAS is the acronym for “Advanced Driver Assist Systems” and is fitted in most modern vehicles. By 2022, up to 11 Advanced Driver Assist Systems became a mandatory requirement for new cars and for good reason. These high-tech safety systems are developed to save lives by warning drivers about hazards, keeping safe distances, or taking the necessary steps to prevent a collision.

Many different ADAS are now in use by major vehicle manufacturers, and if your car is less than 5 years old, it’s likely to have one or more of these safety systems. They operate by receiving accurate information from hi-tech cameras, radars and various additional sensors.

The ADAS responds to data given by the cameras, radars, and other sensors, so your safety depends on how accurate this data is. The smallest misalignment can be the difference between avoiding a collision or not, or even causing one or not. All vehicles are calibrated straight out of the factory however we advise that you should get it recalibrated every three years to avoid any threats to your safety or any issues with your insurance.
